Today was a typical rainy day here in Vancouver, so we decided to stay warm and dry by taking a walk at Granville Island and its buzzing Public Market.
On the island you will find many places to eat, shops, galleries and attractions, such as a theatre, a brewery and a toy store.
We love to visit the Public Market when we are there, and wander around the many different stalls and products. You should avoid going there during weekends if you don’t like walking through a crowd, since it’s a very popular place to spend a Saturday afternoon.
After taking a look at the international cousine that the market offers, we walked through a maze of colorful produce stalls filled with fruit, veggies, pastries, meat and much more.
Like any other tourist spot, the market also has plenty of local Canadian goods, as well as maple leaf marked souvenirs.
In the end it was a wet but lovely Saturday couple’s afternoon!
(And we saw a super cute seal as well, and that made our day! 🙂 )
